We have made changes to the vehicles accepted at our campsite from next year.
Motorhomes will no longer be accepted except by special request. The maximum length of panel vans allowed past the barrier will be 6m, up from 5.5m at present. Those who sleep in vans must still book a bay as now. Vans of up to 6m will also be accepted as parked vehicles for campers using tents.
Lakeside bays are available for any panel van up to 7m long, down from 8m at present. These bays have EHU, and while bay 1 is very private the other 5 are side by side overlooking the lake. Please check this suits you before you book, and choose your bay accordingly. The photo shows vans in bays 2, 3 and 4 in the lakeside area.
The changes come in part because of feedback from those in motorhomes who clearly have expectations that are different from what we offer. We are also changing the layout of our tracks and by reception. We will no longer offer drive-over waste disposal but will provide an Elsan emptying point.
Cae Du campsite in Beddgelert has re-opened this year, so we hope those motorhomes which we will no longer accept can be accommodated there. Please use our contact form to email if you are a motorhome regular who is happy with our facilities and want to come again.
